Spokesperson says it’s about 'streamlining the upgrade process' which reads to loyal customers as 'we found more ways to fleece you.' Aviation guru Zach Griff called this a 'bad news' power move, while points expert Gary Leff admits this tactic to squeeze out missed revenue has been slow-cooking for at least seven years.
