Chains like McDonald’s, Starbucks, and Taco Bell are cashing in on the demand for customizable, cold drinks with neon colors and flavors so wild they’d make grandma gag. Think 'pickle-flavored slushies' and 'sodas with dried fruit on the bottom.' According to Michael Della Penna, 'The crazier, the better,' because Gen Z wants their drinks as eye-catching as their TikTok feeds. With McDonald’s eyeing a $100 billion slushie throne, it’s clear the new battlefield is ice-cold and syrupy.
