Australia is apparently auditioning for the world's most extreme weather reality show as the Bureau of Meteorology drops a 'blistering day' forecast hitting a sweating 39C in Sydney's CBD, while Victoria's south-west coast braces for wind gusts up to 130km/h, because why not? On October 21 and 22, NSW and Queensland smashed century-old October heat records dating back to 1910, basically turning the eastern states into oversized saunas. Meanwhile, everyone is advised to stay inside or risk getting windblown like an undercooked paper airplane, as the Bureau reminds us that climate drama is still the hottest ticket in town.
