US Army’s 3-Week Drone Crash Course: Better Late Than Bombed

The US Army’s new Unmanned Advanced Lethality Course, whipped up by Capt. Rachel Martin in just 90 days at Fort Rucker, Alabama, aims to stop lagging 'globally' on drone warfare. With 28 students juggling off-the-shelf drones and 3D-printed parts, they're urgently catching up on skills late to the drone party. As Martin admits, 'Most of my peers, including myself until 90 days ago, didn’t know how to do this.' The course plans to escalate from basic flying to precision strikes by February — basically leveling up while realizing drones are both army saviors and juicy targets in modern warfare.
