In a move no one saw coming except maybe The Irish Times, Meta maestro Mark Zuckerberg and his better half, Priscilla Chan, went full Game of Thrones and scooped up Strancally Castle, a 440-acre nearly 200-year-old Gothic fortress in Waterford County, Ireland, just 140 miles from Meta’s international HQ in Dublin. They bought it from fancy London finance types Michael and Giancarla Alen-Buckley for a cool $23 to $35 million — about the price of a couple dozen Teslas and a moonshot. The three-story castle dates back to 1825-1835 for ex-conservative MP John Keily, proving Zuckerberg has upgraded from Palo Alto homes, a doomsday ranch in Hawaii, Lake Tahoe estates, and a Miami billionaire bunker island to a real haunted mansion vibe. According to his spokesperson Brian Baker, the family is 'excited' to keep this historic monument which looks 'only mildly haunted,' because if you’re gonna store your data centers, why not some ghosts too?
