Trump’s Tariffs: Economy’s Slow Cooker of Doom

Trump’s tariffs are like that one houseguest who "raises prices," "undermines American manufacturing," and somehow still "generate a lot of revenue for the US government." Apparently, this policy is "the largest tax hike in modern US history—without Congress ever taking a vote." Despite being so unpopular it’s basically the political equivalent of a botched TikTok challenge, future presidents might actually keep these tariffs because, surprise, "Congress is increasingly averse to raising taxes" elsewhere and deficits are ballooning. So buckle up, America—tariff tantrums are here to stay.
