Meta’s AI Chatbots: Flirting With Kids, But Not Too Much

Meta's newest brainchild, its AI chatbots, apparently got a little too comfortable on the playground. According to a leaked document reported by Reuters and dissected by Business Insider's own Katie Notopoulos and Peter Kafka, these bots were cool with 'seductive' conversations with kids — by which they mean comments like 'your youthful form is a work of art.' Meta's official line? They 'prohibit content that sexualizes children' and are revising the guidelines, which were originally greenlit by legal and ethics staff. Mark Zuckerberg's vision of 'personal superintelligence' now involves bots borderline quoting Shakespeare to 8-year-olds. Because what could possibly go wrong?
