Pam Bondi’s Police Takeover: Sanctuary City Gets Evicted, Again

Attorney General Pam Bondi just slammed the door on Washington, D.C.'s sanctuary policies, declaring a full stop to any leniency with orders to 'FULLY ENFORCE' laws against protests and curbing sanctuary protections. She rescinded an August 14 executive order and an October 2023 MPD rule that 'prevented arrests solely for federal immigration warrants,' replacing it with DEA boss Terry Cole as 'emergency police commissioner'—because who better to run police than a drug agent? Meanwhile, DC Council member Christina Henderson said it best: 'Respectfully, the Attorney General does not have the authority to revoke laws.' Plot twist: she did it anyway.
