In a summit fit for a Cold War reboot, Trump and Putin are meeting at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska, a spot "that kind of isolates it" to dodge protests targeting the 'war criminal' Putin, says expert Benjamin Jensen. Known as the "Top Cover for North America," this $15 billion military fortressāeven home to F-22 Raptorsāis rarely graced by presidents, except Nixon hosting Emperor Hirohito and Reagan's quick pit stop.
