Trump Budget Ghosts Moms: ERASE MM Funding Vanishes

Seven years after Trump signed the Preventing Maternal Deaths Act and pumped tens of millions into ERASE MM, the program saving moms’ lives is facing the budget chopping block. Despite bipartisan support, 'the Trump administration’s budget proposal jettisons not only ERASE MM but a slate of programs known as the Safe Motherhood initiative.' Like a bad group chat admin, HHS promised it's 'committed to improving maternal and infant health,' while quietly ghosting funding. Rep. Greg Landsman hoped the cut was an 'oversight,' but moms aren’t buying the excuse—they want the money back pronto.
