Netflix rescued Sesame Street from Warner Bros. Discovery's streaming chopping block, gifting us Elmo, Cookie Monster, and surprise guests like Miley Cyrus and NASCAR champ Bubba Wallace on the very iconic 56th anniversary, November 10. After Warner Bros. casually bounced the beloved muppets from Max, older episodes will stick around there until 2027 like clingy exes. Meanwhile, Netflix plans to flood eyeballs with immersive, interactive, 11-minute stories that presumably won’t involve Cookie Monster finally dropping his lifelong cookie addiction. And PBS Kids is still holding down the fort, because apparently, nostalgia is too precious for just one streaming overlord.
