In a Knesset speech worthy of an unexpected cable drama crossover, President Trump urged Israeli President Issac Herzog to pardon Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who's on trial for bribery, fraud, and breach of trust. Surprisingly, Trump's pitch included a dismissive 'Cigars and champagne, who the hell cares about this?' despite Netanyahu allegedly accepting $200,000 in gifts from oligarchs and handing telecom tycoons multi-hundred-million-dollar favours for cozy news coverage. The trial's dragging for four years thanks to delay tactics allegedly involving the former head of Israel's domestic security agency's warnings. Oh, and polls say Netanyahu's about as popular as a rattlesnake tea party, but Trump's ready to endorse him regardless.
