French President Macron got 'very tough,' and Trump ‘didn't like that.’ Zelensky reminded everyone 'Putin cannot be trusted,' which is basically the international equivalent of ‘he’s got commitment issues.’ Merz and other European bigwigs pushed back, stressing that Ukrainian interests 'must be upheld.' Anyway, Trump’s optimism is cautiously hopeful: 'Yes, the president hasn't been happy... But that’s gone. He’s optimistic.'
