President Trump is taking a hardline approach against supervised drug consumption sites, threatening to 'withhold funds' and even 'potentially pursue criminal penalties.' In other words, he’s turning safe spaces for addicts into extremely unsafe political punching bags. Because nothing says helping the country like shutting down places designed to keep people alive, right? As Trump proudly waves the hammer of budget cuts and legal smackdowns, these sites might soon experience a plot twist harsher than any TV binge watch — or rehab program.
