Trump’s Trade Deal: Tariffs For You, Investments For Me
Photo by Kenny Eliason on Unsplash
President Trump declared a "trade deal" with South Korea that sounds less like a deal and more like a mixtape drop where only one side gets paid royalties. According to Trump’s Truth Social shoutout, "South Korean imports would face a 15% tariff, while U.S. exports to the country would not be tariffed." Oh, and South Korea plans to buy $100 billion in U.S. energy while tossing $350 billion into some mysterious “investment fund” with "amount to be hashed out" later. It’s like economic Tinder—lots of swipe-right promises, but who’s really matching?
