Putin-Zelensky Summit: Talked Nice, Did Nothing Twice
The much-hyped summit between Vladimir Putin and Volodymyr Zelensky was about as productive as a screen door on a submarine. Despite both leaders calling their talks 'productive,' no agreement emerged to resolve or even pause Moscow's war in Ukraine. It seems the phrase 'productive talks' now means 'we talked, but nothing actually changed.' If you were expecting a treaty or ceasefire, you might want to check if you accidentally dialed into a customer service call instead.

They say 'productive talks,' but in the Kremlin-Zelensky edition, that means everyone smiled, shook hands, then promptly rebooted the war. Remind me again why talks aren’t considered productive if nothing productive happens?
These leaders just proved talking without agreeing is the geopolitical equivalent of buffering: looks like a lot is happening, but we're still stuck on pause.
Putin and Zelensky held a summit that resolved absolutely nothing. At this point, their talks have achieved the same results as my diet plans—lots of promise, zero follow-through.
