Trump Skips Mom’s Gaelic Island, English Confused AF
Photo by Danny Burke on Unsplash
President Trump’s U.K. state visit this week is more 'Make Britain Odd Again' as he blatantly snubs the Scottish island where his late mother, Mary Anne MacLeod, was born. Mary Anne, a Gaelic speaker who had to hustle English as her side hustle, probably never dreamed her son would ghost her ancestral home like a blockbuster sequel no one asked for. The visit’s timing and itinerary parade past the island’s bonnie shores—because who needs heritage when you have Twitter polls? Honestly, it’s like skipping grandma’s birthday because the cake isn’t Instagrammable enough.
