Texas GOP’s Redistricting Blitz: Gerrymander or Corner Store?

Only in America could redistricting get turbocharged mid-decade thanks to Trump pushing Texas Republicans to redraw maps that might net them five extra seats. As Beto O'Rourke complains, 'Why the f**k are we responding and reacting to the other side instead of taking offense on these things?'. Meanwhile, Democrats like California Governor Gavin Newsom scramble to punch back with special elections and fast amendments because, in the game of political chess, every move is somehow a checkmate waiting to happen. Back in my day, we called this just good old-fashioned politicking, not a midterm map meltdown.
