On September 18, 2025, Jimmy Kimmel Live! was indefinitely benched by ABC under pressure from Trumpâs FCCâyes, that Trumpâsparking fiery Tweets from Tino Gagliardi, prez of the almighty American Federation of Musicians (AFM). Tino, clutching his musical pearls, loudly proclaimed this was blatant state censorship happening here in the US of A, a land supposedly smart enough to spell 'free speech.' Highlighting LAâs Local 47 musicians caught in the crossfire, the AFMâs strongly worded essay reminded us politics traumatizes creative souls everywhere. Not to be outdone, SAG-AFTRA chimed in, waving their diverse free speech banner like itâs Coachella. Jamie Lee Curtis and Ben Stiller also joined the woke choir. Drama royale on the TV menu!
