President Trump announced on Truth Social that Canada's support for Palestinian statehood will make a trade deal 'very hard,' threatening a 35% tariff just before the Aug. 1 deadline. Canadaās PM Mark Carney plans to recognize Palestine at the UN General Assembly, joining France and the UK in isolating the Trump admin. Trump exclaimed, 'Wow! Canada has just announced that it is backing statehood for Palestine,' turning what might be tension into a thrilling trade war sequel. At least now, the North American neighborly bond gets that spicy international flavor!
