In the land of the long white cloud, aka New Zealand, the famously adorable kiwi bird is starring in a real-life horror story starring invasive predators playing the villain. With kiwis facing extinction, locals have donned their superhero capes (or possibly just gumboots) to wage war minimizing the wildlife invasion that’s turning the drama up to eleven. While cocky predators snack away on these shy, flightless featherballs, everyday New Zealanders are stepping up, lining up for what might unofficially be the world's cutest pest control squad. If only loyalty points or airline miles came with saving national treasures!
