Cassie Donegan, aka Miss New York turned Miss America 2026, strutted away with $50,000 in scholarship cheddar from the Orlando-stage showdown on September 7. A seasoned pageant warrior since age nine with a musical theater degree from Belmont University, she’s banked over $80K pre-crown (including a $15K Miss NY title bonus) to keep her college debt at hard pass. While others weep under student loans, Cassie runs Southern Sitters, a women-led childcare gig, and now eyes an MBA in nonprofit wizardry sans cash stress. Miss America: the OG scholarship fairy since 1945, handling more cash than Aunt Becky’s college funds.
