In a stunning display of collective enthusiasm, the Institute for Nonprofit News teamed up with the Online News Association and the LGBTQ+ marketers formerly known as journalists — the NLGJA: The Association of LGBTQ+ Journalists — to hand out honors. While the article conveniently forgets exact dates, dollars, or controversies (they’re clearly saving those for a sequel), we can safely confirm that somewhere, someone got recognized for not being boring. This triumvirate of acronyms appears to appreciate journalistic feats that neither pay rent nor improve coffee quality, yet somehow earn applause and badges of official respect.
