iPhone 17: Slimmer, Pricier, and Tariff-Trapped, Surprise!

Apple is preparing to unveil the iPhone 17 on the tech runway this Tuesday, but brace your wallets—prices are stretching $50 to $100 beyond their last stretch after a seven-year dormancy in price hikes, courtesy of Morgan Stanley's analysts. The newly trimmed 'Air' edition is sashaying in, replacing the chubby Plus, adding around $100 to the former $899 tag. Apple's Pro model is playing hard to get, ditching the 128GB 'starter' at $999 and kicking off at a heftier $1,099 with 256GB. Thanks to tariff tango costs gobbling $800 million last quarter, Apple’s supply chain jets from China to India, because apparently, devices cost more when crossing borders too. And yet, Apple’s newsroom is MIA—no comment on this feast of fiscal fun.
