Airbus Snatches Crown from Boeing—Is Max Drama Infinite?

Since 1967, Boeing's 737 was king of the skies until Airbus's 1987-born A320 pulled a surprise takeover with 12,260 deliveries versus Boeing's 12,259. The crown changed hands thanks to a Saudi budget airline, Flynas, snagging the 12,260th A320 on a Tuesday—because who doesn’t love midweek surprises? Boeing’s loss isn’t just about planes; it's about MCAS scandals scaring regulators, a $2.5 billion fine for misleading them, and a 2024 nightmare flight where bolts went missing mid-air on an Alaska Airlines 737 Max. Airbus delivered 57 jets last month while Boeing struggled with 43. No planes or egos seem ready to land this rivalry soon!
