Tasmanian Premier Calls Timeout on Greyhound Grand Prix of Sadness

Jeremy Rockliff, Tasmania's premier, has finally 'decided it's time to draw a line in the sand' and will end greyhound racing by mid-2029. This heartfelt pledge comes after the tragic death of Raiders Guide, described as a âgreatâ in the sport, who met an untimely fate after breaking its neck at a Launceston track. Clearly aiming to 'ensure an orderly exit,' Rockliff's timeline is long enough to let the dogs enjoy their last laps but short enough to remind everyone that some races really shouldn't be run.
