Southwest’s Splash Zone: Priscilla, Phoenix, & Flash Flood FOMO

Hold onto your camels, Arizona—Tropical Storm Priscilla (yes, it’s a Category 2 diva off Baja California) has RSVP’d with a forecast bombshell of up to 6 inches of rain slapping down on Phoenix, Flagstaff, and everyone else in the Dry Desert Club by the weekend of October 9, 2025. The National Weather Service proudly raised a Level 3 flood risk—because apparently Arizona needed more ways to complain about water. Flash flooding will hit urban areas, burn scars, and slot canyons like an angry ex sliding into DMs. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Raymond staggers in to spice up southeastern Arizona later Saturday, proving the Southwest can’t catch a break. Bonus sad truth: climate change was the not-so-invited plus one hello storm season, per multiple studies. Remember kids, rain is heavy, but tweets about it are heavier.
