In an epic game of Hide-And-Seek with Japan's justice system since October 2019, six daring masterminds allegedly swindled at least 250 victims across 20 prefectures out of a whopping ¥900 million. That's roughly $6.5 million in smiles stolen from wallets nationwide! These six suspects could qualify for an Olympic sport in Fraudulent Hustling, proving that in Japan some talents go beyond sushi mastery. While the rest of us struggle to save yen for ramen, these geniuses apparently ran a nationwide con-tour, gracefully avoiding arrest and regulatory pepperspray, leaving police scratching heads in about two dozen locales.
