Storm-guzzler Plane Hits Okinawa Fuel Crisis: Emergency Edition
In a stunning display of plan-to-fail physics, an aircraft, apparently antagonized by bad weather, guzzled more fuel than its accountant-approved budget and had to make an unplanned cameo at the U.S. Kadena Air Base in Okinawa Prefecture. Crediting Mother Nature for the extra mileage, the plane executed an emergency landing that probably left fuel gauges sobbing and wallet holders weeping. The exact date remains as foggy as the skies it flew through, but the taste of irony lands as hard as the plane did. One can only guess how the crew explained this unexpected pit stop to the fuel quartermasters.
