Joe Gebbia, Airbnb co-founder turned U.S. chief design officer, is here to rescue federal websites from looking like a Windows 98 relic. Named by President Trump, whoâs been busy turning the White House into a Mar-a-Lago boutique hotel, Gebbia promises a 'beautifully designed' and 'Apple Store-like experience' for the governmentâs digital front door. His executive order, 'Improving Our Nation Through Better Design,' aims to delete the annoying partsâbecause as Gebbia says, 'The best part is no part.' July 4, 2026 is the deadlineâjust in time for America to celebrate its 250th birthday with websites that actually work. Bravo!
