Texas Progressives Prepare for Generational WWE Smackdown

Texas Republicans have turned the Congressional Progressive Caucus meeting into an episode of Survivor, redrawing maps to jam Rep. Greg Casar (36) and veteran Lloyd Doggett (78) into the same district, threatening a Democrat bloodbath. Lawmakers whisper, 'It'll be a nasty race, probably,' as Doggettâwho famously sparked Biden's 'Step aside' debate last yearânow faces being asked to age-gracefully exit. Casar, 'just getting started,' may rewrite Texas political history while Doggett insists, 'Some are strong on social media. Some are strong in fighting Trump.' Either way, it's a political Hunger Games with retirement as the prize.
