Russia’s Jobless Are Jobless But Not Jobless, Says Putin

Russia proudly reports a historic low jobless rate of 2.2% while secretly nurturing a booming black market of 'hidden unemployment,' where 'workers remain on payroll but are not working,' aka 'downtime.' President Putin warned that 'hidden unemployment is growing,' with nearly 200,000 Russians riding this invisible gravy train by early August. Despite a four-day workweek invite from Avtovaz, the economy only barely grew by 1.1% last quarter, and internet outages scramble digital wallets. Putin promises to 'sense ongoing trends and respond,' probably by inventing 200,000 new job titles for invisible workers.
