Judge Cancels Trump’s Plans To Axe 532 Voice Of America Careers Overnight

On a Tuesday that was supposed to be more slash-and-burn than Season 12 of a reality TV show, Reagan-appointed Judge Royce Lamberth threw a legal Hail Mary stopping Kari Lake and the Trump gang from laying off 532 US Agency for Global Media employees. Instead of packing boxes, these Voice of America journalists got an April injunction citing the 'bare minimum' joke Lake pitched when she canceled a 15-year lease in March, insisting the agency needed a ‘fresh start.’ The judge, clearly done with bureaucratic hide-and-seek, called out the administration for using up court time with its stunt-level obfuscation and warned it’s flirting with contempt – basically, 'play nice or get punished.' Meanwhile, White House reps pulled a classic mic drop by ghosting Axios’ requests like it’s a bad Tinder date.
