The OECD gloomily warns it will 'choke oceans, harm human health and accelerate climate change.' So, unless you've been stockpiling inflatable flamingos and single-use forks, brace yourself for a world swimming in a plastic tsunami. It's like we've invited the planet to a barbecue and stopped serving anything biodegradable. As the plastic party grows louder, the oceans RSVP with rising tides of disaster. But hey, at least those plastic bottles will be great for flotation devices... right?
