Trump’s Bible Tour: Salvation or PR Salvation?

On a mission that sounds like a bizarre cross between holy ground and a political rally, Donald Trump visited the Museum of the Bible to deliver a speech on religious liberty. Because what better place for a man whose relationship with truth is, at best, interpretive gospel? The event, in a venue known for its own controversies about artifacts’ origins, was less about scripture and more a chapter in Trump’s never-ending saga of self-promotion masquerading as divine mandate. Oh, I'm sorry, did I miss the part where tweeting about the Bible counts as a spiritual awakening? At this rate, we might see Trump inaugurate the Museum of Alternative Facts next.
