White House Sets Meetup Bar Lower Than Putin’s Approval Ratings

In a stunning display of optimism tempered by reality, the White House is busy "tempering expectations" for the Trump-Putin summit, presumably because hoping for a peaceful meeting is like betting on a hurricane to take a coffee break. Officials are essentially saying, 'Oh, I'm sorry, did I miss the part where this summit turns into a walk in the park?' So let me get this straight: the best we can hope for is Trump and Putin not nuclear-ing the place? Honestly, that's like training mice not to nibble your cable wires.
