As if Tuesday wasn't stressful enough, Congress is practicing their best stubborn mule impression with five agonizing days left before the looming US government shutdown. Both sides have apparently lost the 'let's compromise' memo, digging their heels in deeper than your Wi-Fi signal drops during a Zoom call. Specific lawmakers? Not mentioned, because apparently every politician wants Oscars in the Drama category this year. The calendar is counting down faster than your online shopping cart clears at checkout. Citizens everywhere are left refreshing news pages with approximately zero new info, except a growing existential dread of, you know, no government services. Somebody grab the popcorn.
