California Turns Up Heat, Sets Itself on Fire Literally

Well, Southern California decided it needed a little extra excitement—so a wildfire, cheekily named the Canyon Fire, went from 'just 30 acres' to a whole 1,500 acres in a matter of hours. The LA County Fire Department admits it’s "0% contained," so grab your marshmallows, folks. During a heat wave with temps reaching 95-100°F and winds gusting up to 25 mph, the fire forced thousands out of their homes while officials issued an emergency proclamation, apparently because 'cool' wasn’t on this week’s weather forecast.
