In a chat with Steve Inskeep, former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg lamented 'distrust in government' and the Democratic Party's struggle to steer a clear course. Buttigieg painted a picture of political gridlock like a traffic jam where everyone's honking but nobody's moving: 'Thereâs a class of problem here thatâs at the core of whatâs troubling the public.' So apparently, trust in Washington is now as reliable as a GPS stuck recalculating in a tunnelâeveryone knows where we want to go, but nobody believes the directions.
