Trump’s Jan. 6 Pardoned Assassin-In-Waiting Strikes Again

Christopher Moynihan, a 34-year-old Clinton, N.Y. resident and certified Capitol stormer, went from snapping reckless Senate selfies in January 2023—declaring senators ‘bagged’—to plotting to assassinate House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries in October 2025. Despite Trump’s blanket pardon on day one of his sophomore term (yes, a second Trump presidency apparently exists), Moynihan’s narcotic-fueled homicidal ideations elevated FBI alerts and a terroristic threat charge. Jeffries, understandably not thrilled, hammered the Trump pardon as a nationwide crime-enhancer while Speaker Mike Johnson ‘first heard about it’ at a press breakfast and somehow blamed more violence on the left. Capitol Police report 14,000 threats looming in 2025—no really, welcome to the threat Olympics.
