Palmer Luckey, the Oculus creator turned defense startup czar at Anduril, has cooked up a crystal ball prophecy called 'China 27' — betting on a Chinese Taiwan invasion by, surprise, 2027. On Joe Rogan’s podcast, Luckey warned against building futuristic weapons not battle-ready for a potential 'gigantic fight' that apparently Netflix can schedule better than Hollywood. He dropped by Taiwan recently bearing missiles (because nothing says "neighborly visit" like artillery gifts) and pitched the US rebrand as ‘the world’s gun store’ — complete with in-stock ammo and no awkward ally boycotts. Meanwhile, Anduril’s making bank with a $642 million, 10-year Marine Corps drone contract and tech collabs with Meta, rolling out crowd-pleasing gear like EagleEye visors. Valued at a casual $30.5 billion, Luckey seems set to disrupt classics like Lockheed and Boeing, proving that startup swagger might just scare off blockades better than sea mines and porcupine math.
