In a plot twist drier than your aunt's turkey, public health guru Georges Benjamin argues that restoring Susan Monarez as CDC director is the antidote to Kennedy’s unchecked power. Because nothing screams stability like a bureaucratic reboot. Monarez, presumably the CDC’s version of a referee in an overcaffeinated soccer match, is expected to serve as the desperately needed check on Kennedy’s alleged power trip. You know it’s serious when public health leadership steps into a soap opera rivaling daytime TV. We’re all terrible drivers of our own lives, but apparently, Kennedy and Monarez are battling for the CDC’s steering wheel.
