FDA Plans New Drug Ads: More Lies, Less Regulation Wanted

The FDA just rolled out fresh plans to regulate pharmaceutical ads, because nothing says public health like telling Big Pharma to behave—sort of. They want to crack down on misleading drug ads that promise cures like a bad magician, but we all know they’ll mostly just rearrange the same tired disclaimers in smaller fonts. Though details on enforcement are shinier than a syringe at a used needle convention, there’s no concrete timeline or massive fines announced yet. Apparently, even the FDA is afraid of triggering a lawsuit from companies who already make billions selling snake oil with a tiny legal briefing in 6-point font.
