Poland Shoots Russian Drones, NATO's Mark Rutte On Speed Dial
Poland's armed forces went full tech ranger on Russian drones that dared to crash their NATO airspace party on a Wednesday morning siege, forcing airport shutdowns that rival the drama of a Black Friday sale gone wild. Prime Minister Donald Tusk, not to be confused with a giant ice-age mammal, took to X (formerly Twitter, where real news goes to get weird) to announce that the drone shootdowns were 'ongoing,' and that he’d personally filled in NATO’s Secretary General Mark Rutte — a man with a name carry-trading suspicion for a Dutch prime minister, but also a top NATO agent in this unfolding international drone soap opera. Meanwhile, Rep. Joe Wilson proudly called Russia’s violations 'an act of war,' blessing the US to bankrupt Moscow's war machine like it’s the next QVC flash sale, thanks to the diplomatically cozy recent visit of Polish President Karol Nawrocki to Trump’s White House. And Senator Chris Murphy admitted he was flying blind on briefings but made sure to remind everyone over CNN that Russian aerial trespassing over NATO is 'incredibly serious.' No comment from Russia yet, probably swiping drones out of the sky instead of tweeting back.
