NASA is facing a cosmic brain drain as nearly 4,000 employees — about 20 percent of its workforce — have opted for deferred resignations amid looming budget cuts. Back in my day, the founding fathers would've launched a revolution over this! The agency's science programs are at risk and staff warn that these cuts 'threaten to waste public resources, compromise human safety, weaken national security, and undermine the core NASA mission.' Meanwhile, 3,000 brave souls are exiting stage left while still cashing government checks. Only in America could you fire half your team but keep paying them!
