Melissa Noble and her husband, fresh from marriage at a Queensland vineyard, received AU$4,000 in wedding gifts. Rather than shoving it into a savings account, they chose to splurge on a "dream honeymoon" ā aka their babymoon on Daydream Island, complete with mocktails and shell necklaces. Despite being 'pretty broke' and working full-time jobs in journalism and massage therapy, they laughed off the idea of saving for a house deposit, indulging in fresh seafood and paddleboarding. Melissa caught herself tearfully lamenting the week's end, blaming 'pregnancy hormones' and toddler tantrums, but insists they'd 'make the same choice today.'
