Robert Redfordâs Final Scene: Lights Out on Sundance Empire
Photo by Delaney Van on Unsplash
Robert Redford, the man who made squinting dramatically an art form since the 1960s, has exited stage left into Hollywoodâs eternal after-party. Founder of the Sundance Institute, that hallowed ground where indie dreams get weird and tax shelters get real, Redford transformed $3 indie flicks into Sundance hits, turning Utahâs snowy mountains into a cinematic hipster pilgrimage. He passed away quietly, unlike his career full of blazing gazes, cool celebs, and a vision so sharp it cut through studio clutter quicker than a Wild West shootout. Sundance won't dim easily, but Redford just gave the directorâs cut to eternity.
