Microsoft just dropped the mic on its SharePoint mess, revealing Chinese state-sponsored hackers exploited vulnerabilities in its widely used software affecting US government agencies. Shockingly, "support for SharePoint is handled by a China-based engineering team"—yeah, in a security nightmare that’s "supervised by a US-based engineer" who apparently isn't armed with superhero tech skills. The Office of the Director of National Intelligence’s assessment? China’s "most active and persistent cyber threat". Microsoft responded with patches and promises to move work away from China.
