In a shocking turn of events, Mexico City's main airport shut down due to flooding, forcing more than 70 flights to divert and causing airport chaos. Passengers reportedly endured flights circling Texas five times and a Madrid-to-CancĂșn 10-hour surprise tour. The airport's statement gloomily said operations halted 'due to heavy rainfall and low visibility,' while reports confirm up to 19 inches of floodwater submerged parts of the city. One evidently confused Iberia flight was last seen asking, 'Should we just keep circling Mexico?' Experts confirm this is not a new extreme sport but merely 'aviation's latest travel nightmare.'
