LimeWire Buys Fyre Festival Brand: Cheese-Free Disaster 2.0

In a move no one saw coming except maybe the lawyers, LimeWire—yes, THAT LimeWire, co-CEOed by brothers Julian and Paul Zehetmayr—paid a cool $245,300 on eBay to resurrect the Fyre Festival brand. The same disaster that served cheese sandwiches instead of lobster and offered plastic FEMA tents over Bahamian villas. Fun fact: LimeWire outbid Ryan Reynolds' Maximum Effort, proving celebrity clout still loses to nostalgic file-sharing startups. Founder Billy McFarland, now fresh off serving time for wire fraud and still $26 million in debt, called the price 'so low' during a live stream. LimeWire promises 'real experiences' this time—presumably with fewer freeloading caterers and actual payment. Also on sale: ironic merch like hoodies, caps, and bags. Because nothing says redemption like wearing failure.
